The Place I Run To…
Sometimes people ask me why I've stayed in gymnastics for so long.
The truth is...
I don't think I stayed.
I think I kept coming home.
There have been seasons of my life when walking through these doors took everything I had.
Days when grief was heavy.
Days when life looked nothing like I thought it would.
Days when it would have been easier to stay home.
But every single time...
I'd unlock the doors.
Turn on the lights.
Stand in the middle of the gym before the first child arrived.
And I'd remember.
This is the place I run to.
Not because life is easier here.
Because this is where I remember who I am.
A few minutes later, the silence would disappear.
Little feet would come running through the door.
Someone would proudly show me a cartwheel.
Someone else would need a little extra courage to climb onto the beam.
The gym would come alive.
And somehow...
So would I.
That's what I hope this place becomes for every child who walks through our doors.
Not just a place to learn gymnastics.
A place where they discover who they are.
A place they know they can always come back to.
Welcome to Renaissance Gymnastics Academy.
We're so glad you're here.
