Inclement Weather & Emergency Closure Policy
At Renaissance Gymnastics Academy, the safety of our gymnasts, families, and staff is always our top priority. While we do everything possible to remain open, there may be times when severe weather or unexpected emergencies require us to close or adjust our schedule.
Weather-Related Closures
Closures may occur due to:
Severe weather (snow, ice, extreme conditions)
Unsafe travel conditions
Power outages or facility issues
Local or state emergencies
Please note that decisions are made based on safety, not convenience, and conditions may vary across different communities.
How We Communicate Closures
If a closure or schedule change is necessary, families will be notified through:
Email
SMS/text message
Website updates and/or social media
We recommend checking messages before traveling to the gym during questionable weather.
Make-Ups & Account Credits
When a class, Open Play session, or camp day is canceled by RGA due to weather or emergency closure, make-ups or account credits may be offered when appropriate.
Make-ups are subject to availability and scheduling constraints
Account credits may be applied to future programs or sessions
Credits and make-ups are not guaranteed for every closure and are determined based on the nature and length of the disruption
Our goal is always to be fair while maintaining consistent operations.
Family Travel Decisions
We understand that weather conditions can vary greatly by location.
If the gym remains open but travel conditions are unsafe for your family, we fully respect your decision not to attend. Please notify us, and we will handle the situation with care and understanding.
Emergency Closures
In the event of an emergency requiring immediate closure (such as power loss or facility issues), families will be notified as quickly as possible using the communication methods listed above.
Questions or Concerns
If you have questions about a specific closure, make-up options, or account credits, our front desk team is always happy to help.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us prioritize the safety of our community.
