SEPTEMBER 2026
Back in the gym. Back to routines. Back to becoming MORE.
September always feels like a fresh start at RGA. New classes. New faces. Returning gymnasts who somehow grew six inches over the summer. 😜
The gym is busy again—and we are so happy to have you here. Here’s what’s buzzing as we head into October. 🐝
IN THIS ISSUE
WHAT’S BUZZING
Just Tumbling. Taught the RGA way.
More time for cartwheels, round-offs, handstands, walkovers, handsprings and safe progressions—all with the RGA attention to fundamentals your gymnast already knows.
45 minutes • Ages 7+ • October–December
Tuesdays at 5:00 PM or Saturdays at 10:00 AM
Currently enrolled RGA gymnasts get 25% OFF: just $71.25/month instead of $95.
More reps. More confidence. More opportunities to get upside down. Space is limited.
COACH’S CORNER
Ready for Practice?
Five little things mean more time for gymnastics:
• HAIR DONE — Securely pulled back and out of your gymnast’s face.
• NOURISHED — Please eat and hydrate before class.
• STUDS ONLY — Small stud earrings are okay; other jewelry stays home.
• CLEAN LEO — A properly fitting leotard is the best choice.
• BARE LEGS. BARE FEET. — Coaches can see body position and gymnasts can feel the equipment.
And yes, your gymnast may eventually start reminding you. We consider that a win. 😉
THIS MONTH AT RGA
September looked good on us.
We welcomed everyone back for fall, reopened Tuesday evening classes, welcomed new Preschool gymnasts and families, and got our Team girls back into their regular training rhythm.
Behind the scenes, we’re building clearer weekly event plans, purposeful rotations and more intentional repetitions. Because 45 minutes goes surprisingly fast—and we want as much of it as possible spent doing gymnastics. Practice should have a purpose.
100 DAYS. 500 HANDSTANDS.
This summer I gave myself an assignment: five handstands a day for 100 days.
I tell our gymnasts to break skills into pieces, practice, make corrections and try again. So I decided to take my own advice.
There were good handstands. Bad handstands. Tired handstands. Vacation handstands. And a few WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT? handstands.
But every day, I did five. And on September 8, I did #500.
I didn’t need all 500 to be good. I just needed to keep doing handstands. A big goal can feel impossible—but five handstands? We can do five handstands. And tomorrow, five more.
Small things, done consistently, become big things.
And yes—at almost 50, Miss Jen can still do a handstand. 😉

LET’S CELEBRATE!
Birthday Parties at RGA
Share your gymnast’s favorite place with their favorite people! RGA parties bring gymnastics, games, movement and birthday fun. Friends do not need to be gymnasts—we’ll get everybody moving while you enjoy the party.
And the greatest birthday gift of all: nobody is doing gymnastics in your living room. 😂
HALLOWEEN KIDS NIGHT OUT 🎃

Costumes. Cartwheels. Good times.
Parents get the night. Kids get the gym.
Friday, October 23 • 6:00–9:00 PM
Ages 5+ • $50 per child • Limited to 30 kids
Open gym, gymnastics challenges, Halloween games and relays, pizza and a juice box—all with friends. Non-RGA friends are welcome, so bring a buddy!
Costumes are encouraged! Choose something safe to move and tumble in, or send a change of clothes. No masks, long capes or accessories that could get caught on equipment.
DON’T MISS THIS
The stuff you actually need to know.
TUITION — Monthly tuition is processed on the 25th. Please keep payment information current.
WITHDRAWALS — Written notice is required by the 25th of the month prior to withdrawal.
MISSED CLASSES — We do not currently offer make-ups for individually missed practices. If RGA cancels a class, we’ll contact affected families directly.
ARRIVING READY — Allow time to get inside, put shoes and belongings away, and be ready to begin. Those first few minutes matter.
CHECK THE BOARD! — Our refreshed lobby bulletin board has reminders, Coach’s Corner and upcoming events. Think of this newsletter as the take-home version. 😉
FROM MISS JEN
A little more than gymnastics.
I love September’s energy—and what happens a few weeks later, when the newness wears off and our gymnasts keep coming. That’s when the real work begins.
They are becoming a gymnast through all the attempts: the almosts, the corrections, the one that was better than the last, and the decision to try again. That’s the part we’re here for.
Thank you for trusting us with your kids and beginning another year with us. There is a lot more ahead.
